Big News for Straight Flush

Schedule Changes


The Cellar at Cork has switched from a Tuesday game at 7p to a Wednesday game at 7p. Friday’s game will remain at 8p.

Maxx Bar and Grill in Ham Lake has joined Straight Flush and will be hosting two games per week at 7p on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Running Aces will resume their Wednesday night games on September 14th at 7p.

Team Tournament October 8th


Registration is now open for our Fall Specialty Tournament. We will be having a team tournament where 8 teams will battle it out for pride, prizes, and of course, bragging rights. BarnBoard Bar and Grill will be putting up $200 cash for this event.

Teams of five players can register by having the Team Captain email SFPTSpecialtyTourney@gmail.com and including the names of all five team members. The team tournament will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at BarnBoard Bar and Grill in Roberts, WI. Cards are in the air at 1pm.

This event is limited to the first 8 teams to register. You may not register any other way than via email. You may not register without a full team commitment. When the event is full, we no further registrations will be accepted as we have space limitations.

Featured Bar Tournament November 5th


Beginning September 11th, there will be 2-3 bars featured each week. Players who make points at the Featured Bar will receive entry to our Featured Bar Tournament on November 5, 2016 at Junior’s Sports Cafe. The max prize pool of $200 will be paid out for this event. The schedule of the featured bars is below:

The South Regional qualifier tournament will take place at Park Place Sports Bar Sunday, August 07th at 1pm. Players will compete for ten spots to the Winter 2016 State Tournament in addition to prizes from the host location. The State Tournament will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at noon.

The South Region includes: Casper’s, Jersey’s, Junior’s, Neisen’s, Opinion, Park Place

Regional Tournaments for Summer 2016

As the Summer 2016 session wraps up (May 1 – July 31, 2016), we prepare for our regional tournaments. The top 20% of players from each Straight Flush tournament will qualify for regionals. Qualifier lists will be posted by Tuesday, August 2, 2016. The locations of each regional qualifier are as follows:
 

South: Sunday 8/7 @ Park Place 1p (Includes: Casper’s, Jersey’s, Junior’s, Neisen’s, Opinion, Park Place)

The Fall 2016 session will begin on August 1 and run through October 31, 2016.
 
The top ten players from each regional (for both Summer 2016 and Fall 2016 sessions) will advance to the State Tournament at Running Aces on December 4, 2016 at noon. Prizes for State will be announced closer to the event as the 2017 tournament schedules are still being determined.

Summer Point Spectacular Tournament

The Summer Point Spectacular Tournament was held on July 23rd at MainStreet Bar in Hopkins. MainStreet payed out the maximum prize allowance ($200 value) for this event: $100 cash for first place, $50 gift card for second place, $30 gift card for third, and $20 gift card.

This tournament was limited to the 50 people who earned the most points across ALL VENUES from 6/19-7/16/2016. We had 32 players in the tournament and a great time was had by all!

New Games

We have TWO new Friday night games beginning today, July 1, 2016.

Park Place in St. Paul Park begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. Be there by 6:15 p.m. for your early bonus chip and don’t forget our social media share bonus chip for those of you on Facebook or Twitter.

The Cellar at Cork adds a Friday night game to their line-up this week at 8:00 p.m. Be there by 7:40 p.m. for your bonus chip and don’t forget about the social media share option too.

Please do not ask your TD’s about it as the owners will be keeping track and keeping the list current. Again, it will only be published once a week, on Mondays. The FINAL QUALIFIER LIST will be published July 18, 2016.

Poker players, we’ve got a Summer specialty tournament coming up on July 23rd at MainStreet Bar in Hopkins at 2pm! MainStreet will be paying out the maximum prize allowance ($200 value) for this event: $100 cash for first place, $50 gift card for second place, $30 gift card for third, and $20 gift card.

This tournament is limited to 50 people who will qualify for the event. How do you qualify for this tournament? I’m glad you asked!

Straight Flush Management will be tracking all players points from June 19th through July 16th and the 50 people who earn the most points across ALL VENUES will be qualified for the event. Meaning the more venues you play, the more chances you have to earn points in order to qualify for the tournament.

Beginning on Monday, June 27th, we will post the list of the top 50 point leaders. This list will ONLY be updated weekly. Please do not ask your TD’s about it as the owners will be keeping track and keeping the list current. Again, it will only be published once a week, on Mondays.
