Fall 2016 Regional and WSOP 2017 Session Info

Welcome to November and to the start of our new session WSOP 2017A!!! Take a moment and review info below regarding Fall 2016 regionals, the Winter State Tournament, as well as WSOP 2017 State info.

Links to the Regional qualifier lists for Fall 2016 are at the end of this post. Regionals will be held as follows:
South: Monday, 11/14 at Neisen’s 7p
West: Tuesday, 11/15 at Chanhassen 7p
East: Wednesday, 11/16 at White Bear Bar 7p
North: Thursday, 11/17 in The Cellar at Cork 7p

The Winter State Tournament will be held on Sunday, December 4th. Registration will begin at 10a and the tournament will begin promptly at 12p. We have decided to do things a little differently this year and in addition to a significantly larger prize pool, we will also be having drawings for additional prizes during the event.

1st – Big Stack Avalanche Main Event Seat ($500 value), personalized hoodie, $100 in tournament lammers.
2nd – Big Stack Avalanche Main Event Seat
3rd – Big Stack Avalanche 20% satellite, $100 in tournament lammers.
4th – Big Stack Avalanche 20% satellite
5th – $100 in tournament lammers
6th – $70 in tournament lammers
7th – $25 cash and a SF hoodie
8th – $25 cash and a SF t-shirt

Next session (WSOP 2017A) begins 11/1 and will run through 1/15/17. WSOP 2017B will begin 1/16/17 and run through 3/31/17. Regionals will be held the week of January 22nd (WSOP 2017A) and April 9th (WSOP 2017B) and the WSOP 2017 State tournament will be held in late April or early May.

This years WSOP trip is tentatively set for June 1-4, 2017 as the winner of the tournament will be awarded a Colossus $565 Main Event Buy-in. Additional info regarding prizes for WSOP State will be released in the coming weeks. Please let us know if you have questions.

Congratulations to our Fall 2016 session Bar Champions! The Bar Champions receive an automatic entry to the Winter 2016 State Tournament, however, they are still eligible to play in any regional qualifier events that they qualified in. Additionally, if a player wins more than one bar, they receive a $500 bonus chip for each additional bar they won. Congrats Bob Watson for winning three bar championships this session and earning an extra $1,000 for Winter State!

State will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 12pm and we will be paying out a prize pool of approximately $2000 including TWO Main Event Seats to the Big Stack Avalanche event at Running Aces in January!

The top 10 from the regional qualifier will move on to our Winter 2016 State Tournament. State will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 12pm and we will be paying out a prize pool of approximately $2000 including TWO Main Event Seats to the Big Stack Avalanche event at Running Aces in January!

Regional Tournaments for Summer 2016

As the Summer 2016 session wraps up (May 1 – July 31, 2016), we prepare for our regional tournaments. The top 20% of players from each Straight Flush tournament will qualify for regionals. Qualifier lists will be posted by Tuesday, August 2, 2016. The locations of each regional qualifier are as follows:
 

South: Sunday 8/7 @ Park Place 1p (Includes: Casper’s, Jersey’s, Junior’s, Neisen’s, Opinion, Park Place)

South Regional Qualifier List

West: Monday 8/8 @ PourHouse 8p (Includes: Chanhassen American Legion, Detour19, MainStreet, Medina, PourHouse)

West Regional Qualifier List

North: Tuesday 8/9 @ Cellar at Cork 7:30p (Includes: Palmer Lake VFW, Ham Lake VFW, and Cellar at Cork)

North Regional Qualifier List

If a player cannot make it to their designated Regional, they can attend a different location, but THEY MUST NOTIFY Straight Flush Management IN WRITING (via Facebook message Straight Flush Entertainment, LLC., email sfpokertour@gmail.com, text 651-295-6854) to be added to the appropriate regional qualifier list.
 
The Fall 2016 session will begin on August 1 and run through October 31, 2016.
 
The top ten players from each regional (for both Summer 2016 and Fall 2016 sessions) will advance to the State Tournament at Running Aces on December 4, 2016 at noon. Prizes for State will be announced closer to the event as the 2017 tournament schedules are still being determined.
